The use of fabric softener will reduce absorbency.
How do I wash these pads?

How many come in each pack? What colors are there?
This is a 2 pack so you'll receive both the tan and the grey color.
Do these pads contain a scent to attract the dogs to use them?
Pawtect® Pads do not contain an attractant however, an attractant spray may be used and purchased separately, if desired.
Does the liquid absorb? Could I use it to protect the couch or a mattress from an incontinent dog, or will it just be damp on top of the couch/mattress thereby eventually getting the furniture wet too?
Pawtect® Pads have a waterproof bottom that liquids will not leak through, however, over saturated pads may leave liquid behind and should be changed often.

Get them if you are looking for washable large pads for larger dogs. They work great with my old lab and haven't had any soak through. They wash easily as well. Only thing I wish is they were cheaper so I could buy some more immediately.
